Liaison officer

in the Nakuru Counseling and Training Institute is Mr. Michael Oguya. His duties are:
1. Find attachments for students
2. Placement and jobs
3. Marketing of the Institute
4. Carreer guidance of students

Finding attachments, placements and jobs for student is a learning prosses also for Mr. Michael who has started his work in the Institute a few months ago. He needs to go around in the city of Nakuru to get to know the employers. By now he has found an attachment places for 13 students. After attachment students usually come back to the Institute to do their final exams. Mr. Michael said that the ones who do well their attachment often get also a more permanent job.

The Institute has web pages, a facebook group and also printed fliers which are used actively to make the Institute known in the neighbourhood. Mr. Michael is also in charge of organizing marketing happenings in schools and among employers. The Institute needs more students in order to survive in the future.

Mr. Michael gives lessons to students about carreer issues and possibilities. He also offers  personal discussions to students. They may need help for example in writing their cv:s or application letters. Mr. Michael told that sometimes students also want to discuss about their future, what kind of different carreer and study possibilities they might have after they finish the Institute.
